This sort of basic Pitot Static Test Box is in every hangar in the country.
It's fine for troubleshooting and leak testing, but cannot be used for
certification of altimetery. It may be used to action the altitude encoding
of a transponder, but it is the captin's altimeter that is correlated to
the transponder, not the PSTS altimeter. There is no requirement for such
sets to be certified although it is common practice. |
