to build a clock
it was said of me kindly but in fun
that if I am asked the time
i'll also tell how to build a clock
and perhaps a little of the meanings of time
that pleases me - I wonder why
and my wife always says,
"in twenty-five words or less please"
and that is a helpful condition
the world is so full of interesting things
one wants to share the understanding
of why and how marvellous it all is
to celebrate the opportunity to know
so they shall endure my enthusiasm
and I shall appreciate their patience |
