i have many mothers and fathers,
i have many teachers and mentors,
and have been formed by them all.
my feet and my fingers,
my thinking and my dreaming,
have gone where they directed.
to this grand inheritance,
were added ideas and ideals,
were added books and experiences.
on this wandering journey,
i found friends and family,
i found purpose and peace.
what yet will my old eyes see?
