not quite excellence we are strong people - full and sure our purposes are not in conflict - just out of phase yet we share the need to celebrate life - to sing and to notice the holy moments we are intense people - busy and needed our hours are commited - our agendas undone yet we share a divine connectedness - the light inside that needs to shine in concert we are expectant people - converted and convinced, faithful, loving and cantankerous yet we share an expectation of excellence - of communion though unprepared and unbelieving we are recovering people - God's broken children too close to our hurts and our healings - by faith yet we share joy - the feel and the sound of it in the excellent moments of our worship we are strong people - full and sure and quite a little bit lost yet we share the need for trust and commitment we share the dream of excellence

our musical group was not committed, not reaching its potential. the group was ending. but still we much wanted to achieve excellence.
