we especially invite you to our practice tonight.
usually we aren't ready for you till sunday.
and we wrestle with the music to get it right,
so that it might be proper praise by sunday.
we would just manage.
but tonight we feel the need of your presence;
that we might better learn to prepare.
things won't be right yet of course.
we need help tonight not for the voice but for the heart.
we would reach to you.
open our ears tonight to the music.
let us hear each other as we have not heard before.
open our souls tonight to the messages.
let us express our songs with understanding.
we would reach to each other.
we have experienced the joy of song before.
help us tonight to remember that feeling.
we have been moved by the words before.
help us tonight to look for their meaning.
we would reach to the congregation.
we feel your presence in our midst.
we feel your leading in our lives.
we feel your hearing as we sing.
we feel your attention in this moment.
we would remember these things.
