deep inside
still small voices
are ever quiet
indeed
they whisper
the secrets of life.

we live in a noisy clamour
of loud demand
which we accept
and listen to
and call duty.

before we were born
we shared something special
dimly remembered
bonding us
as more than brothers.

that small voice
reminds me to listen
again
and to share with you
the old sharing.

in the between times
of our duties then
let's discover
what that was
and what it means.
musing with my brother about our celtic heritage and forgotten threads of purpose.
